Client Trip Reviews

The Boulders - Scottsdale Arizona

By Jonathan Rosen

We took this trip in April during my kids Spring vacation and it was perfect. My kids were ages 12 and 17 when we went and this resort was fun for everyone. Look at their website to see photos to get an idea of how special this place was. My son and I played golf. The golf course is beautiful and memorable. My wife and daughter went to the spa which they loved, and we all played tennis.

This is in the desert so the weather was mid 80's and dry. Bright blue skys everyday. The accommodations are very southwest adobe looking 2 story individual buildings with 1 room on the first floor and one on the second floor. Both have big fireplaces and balconies. We fit all 4 of us in 1 room comfortably.

To go from your room to the main building you can call to be picked up in a big golf cart (the kids liked that) or it's a very pretty 10 minute walk. To go from the main building to the spa or the golf or tennis they drive you in a fleet of Lexus SUVs or vans (or it's a nice 15 minute walk). This place is very into the natural surroundings and the plantings are beautiful.

The food in the restaurants at the resort was high quality casual, and less expensive than New York pricing. The restaurants outside the hotel that are fun are two touristy cowboy barbeque places. Good place to go with the kids - but go hungry.

Prices at the hotel were reasonable for this type of place and when we went they had a stay for 3 nights get the 4th night for free deal (Diana found this for us).

Overall this was a great, fun, memorable place that didn't break the bank and that I would go back to in a second.
