We took our two young children to Hershey, PA in August for a couple days. We reserved the Hershey Lodge, one room with 2 double beds, the first night on the "Breakfast at the Park" package. The breakfast is at Hershey's Chocolate Town Café and is great for young children (4-7yrs old). We also received early entrance to the amusement park and one full day admission, as well as admission to Zoo America and Wildlife Park, and admission to Hershey Gardens and the Hershey Museum.
I was impressed with the healthy and wholesome food throughout the park and resort. I've been to other parks where junk food prevails, but Hershey's was good quality.
There were long lines for the rides, but they were fun. I suggest going early.
Hershey Lodge had nice pools and the rooms weren't bad. If you have a limited amount of time, I would definitely stay there as opposed to other hotels. There are concerts for adults, and babysitting is no problem so you can get a little time alone. The zoo was very nice. You can do it in 1 to 1 ˝ hours while inside the park. It's an interesting break from waiting in lines.
The shows were cute and the staff was helpful and pleasant. We had the AAA rate and had added my niece to the room. At the last minute, my niece couldn't go and they happily refunded the breakfast and re-configured the beds.
