Quick Honeymoon trip at the Luxor in Las Vegas

By Sheila Imbesi Tardibuono

Sheila and Tom traveled to Las Vegas in November of 2005. Here is her review:

It was a fun trip. Vegas is definitely a place to see at least once. The Luxor was a nice hotel.

We walked down the strip and visited the other hotels; every one of them are amazing in size and theme - saw some of the free outside shows - the dancing fountains at Bellagio, the Pirate Show at Treasure Island, the Volcano at Mirage, the Rain Storm inside the Aladdin mall - walked through the Fashion Mall.

One thing that was bothersome was the timeshare people - they were all over the place approaching you "for show tickets or casino vouchers", etc. and we did get sucked into "seeing their presentation" for show tickets the first time we were approached. Obviously, unless you're looking to buy it's a waste of time, but we did enjoy the show - Zumanity by Cirque de Soleil. If we had known, though, we would've avoided them and just paid full price for the show tickets. Also, the people all over the streets passing out those pamphlets and cards for "escort service" were annoying.

It would definitely be worth the effort to plan ahead on what to do - avoid the timeshare people - and wear comfortable shoes. We didn't allocate enough time to visit the Hoover Dam or make it to Stratosphere. We also wanted to see "O" by Cirque de Soleil but it was sold out. Maybe on our next visit...
