Just returned from our trip yesterday. We LOVED Sanibel Island and wonder why it took us so long to discover this little gem. It was perfect for our anniversary get-away. Quiet, peaceful, serene, beautiful. We also really liked Song of the Sea. Although it doesn't look like much from the outside, the inside is quite lovely. Our room was very nice; roomy, with a full kitchenette and refrigerator. Nice balcony-very clean and very quiet.

Of-course we were there off-season, so hard to know what it is like in season. They did not up-grade us. They told us they were sold out when we got there, even though there was a “vacancy” sign the whole time we were there! But, we were happy with our room, so we didn't push it.

The staff were all very friendly, cheerful and helpful, from the front desk to the cleaning ladies.

Complementary bottle of wine in our room when we arrived, and small vase of flowers appeared the next day as well. Very nice continental breakfast included every morning in a lovely courtyard, plus a basketful of complementary New York Times ... so who could ask for more?

Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely go back there again.
