Loved Guernsey. No crime, no litter, people were so cordial, trusting, warm and helpful. Also really liked England – the natives couldn't believe that we had three days in a row of sunshile! Only rained very lightly in the evening after 8:00pm once – couldn't ask for more.

We made all of our connections but one. When we got to Guernsey, the cab driver forgot so the hotel called another and he came within an 45 minutes.

when we got there, to Guernsey, we had been awake for about 28 hours and this woman wanted to go over genealogy things at the library near the Guernsey hotel – she was so nice but I was not really functional. That is what I mean about the people – so very nice and willing to help.

Going through customs was a breeze, time-wise. I was surprised about that since I remembered going through customes going to/coming from Italy and it seems like it took forever.

The England hotel was elegant – I highly recommend it. The staff couldn't have been more professional and courteous and the room was clean, very American in standards. The Guernsey hotel was good – room was ample, clean and perfect location for my genealoogy search. Breakfast in both Guernsey and England was plentiful and tasty – many options to choose from the buffets.

My mom and I both thought Wicked was not really that good. Isn't that weird – especially since everyone who has seen it here loved it. The English audience were very reserved – no response from them during many clever, funny bits in the show and the audience can make a theater experience either very good or just so-so.

The Globus tour was good – the tour director and one that was farmed out was fantastic. Very witty and knowledgeable. One other tour director (not Globus but booked through Globus) rushed us into walking to a site and some folks allmost lost her since she was walking so fast and never stopped for people to catch up. Many tour people complained to our regular guide about this.

I would recommend the tour to anyone and even Guernsey!
